The July travel circuit is short — five weekends, tops — and every one of them matters differently. Here's how we'd rank the ones that will drive the most recruiting decisions this summer, plus one sleeper event you should know about.
1. Peach Jam (Nike EYBL Finals) — July 8-12, North Augusta, SC
Still the tournament that college coaches build their July calendar around. If your kid is on a Nike EYBL team, this is the game.
For everyone else: not attending doesn't hurt you if you're playing at a competitive parallel event, but Peach Jam highlights spread further on social media than anything else all summer. Two big games at Peach Jam can generate more attention than an entire spring circuit.
2. Adidas 3SSB Championships — July 8-12, Rock Hill, SC
Same weekend, similar prestige, different sponsor. The Adidas Gauntlet's final showcase. Historically, Adidas has been slightly less exclusive than Nike EYBL, which means slightly more kids get seen. That's not automatically better or worse — just a different pool.
3. Under Armour Association Finals — July 15-19, Louisville, KY
The third leg of the summer 2026 championship tour. Smaller than Peach Jam and 3SSB, but tighter — the field is more elite because Under Armour's roster is narrower. If your kid is UA-affiliated, this is a stage. If they're not, don't sweat missing it.
4. Fab48 & West Coast Elite — July 22-25, Las Vegas, NV
Vegas is where the second wave of college coaches — mid-major, low-major, JuCo — go looking for value. It's less about the top-100 kids and more about the next 500. If your kid is a mid-to-low D1 or D2 prospect, this is arguably the most important weekend of your summer.
5. AAU Nationals (National Championships) — July 20-27, Orlando, FL
Traditionally the largest tournament of the summer by team count. Not the highest-level basketball in the country, but massive in scope, and the level range is wide enough that mid-tier programs get real exposure.
And the sleeper: The Battle in the Grove — July 27-28, Napa, CA
Small (32 teams), invitation-based, exceptionally well-run. Recruiting directors we've talked to have quietly rated it as the highest talent-per-court event of the summer for the last three years. If your kid is invited, go. It won't get the social media coverage of Peach Jam, but the coaches watching are the same coaches, and they're paying more attention because there's less to filter through.
How to decide where to focus
If you're a parent trying to figure out where to spend the July budget, ranked by our recommendation:
- Top-100 national prospect: Peach Jam or 3SSB depending on shoe affiliation, then Battle in the Grove. Everything else is optional.
- Top-500 prospect: Nike/Adidas/UA if you can, plus Vegas for depth. Skip AAU Nationals unless your team gets a strong bracket.
- Solid D2/JuCo track: Vegas is more important than any of the shoe-brand events. That's where the coaches recruiting to your level actually are.
- Regional exposure play: AAU Nationals gets you seen by the widest coaching net.
One thing to watch across all of them
Every one of the five majors this summer is streaming every court in HD, tagging stats via AI within 12 hours, and delivering shareable clips within 24. That's a huge change from three years ago when floor cameras were the exception.
What that means for you: you can be on Court 12 at 8am on a Sunday and a college coach in Kansas can watch that game by lunch on Monday. Distance is over. The only question is whether you show up on the court in a way that's worth watching.
Good luck this July.
